Nope, Fresh Faced already existed before we created the website. The Founder Artists already knew each other and already had busy bridal schedules, which unfortunately meant saying no to too many blushing beauties. Destination weddings are a lot of work, and finding an appropriate make-up artist in a different country can be a mess, so we would always recommend the artists we trusted the most- the people we not only work with, but also hang out with, drink with and cry with. That also meant further back and forth on e-mails with brides we knew we were not going to be able to put our hands on, to help them out with recommendations…plus, all of the other e-mails we had to answer.
Does that sound like we needed a system? Well, this is it- Fresh Faced appeared in a dream Lola had and shared the next day with her fellow make-up artists on the beach (that’s where you’ll find us on a weekday in the Summer, we’re sure you’ll get it when you visit Portugal).
So yeah, not a real company, but rather a family of artist. We defend each other and our wonderful Fresh Artists, who we taught at one point, to make conditions and prices fair for both the artist and the client. We prioritise good vibes- and yes, Karen, that does mean we’re not for everyone…wink wink!
