Fresh Faced Artist Conditions (Make-up)
Please note: Prices listed do not include Portuguese IVA tax. These prices are presented in ranges so you can get an idea of how much you are going to be charged as you wait for your chosen artist’s availability or as you prepare to choose an artist.
Bridal Trial
The bridal trial is a recommended service that takes 1.5 to 3 hours and costs between €100-150.
Booking Your Wedding Make-Up Service
To secure your chosen Fresh Faced artist, a non-refundable deposit of 50% of the wedding make-up service fee is required.
Bridal Make-Up on the Wedding Day
This service takes place at your wedding venue, home, or hotel. The cost ranges from €200-300, with the remaining 50% due on the wedding day. The service takes about 90 minutes.
Additional Services (Including Wedding Events)
Additional services, such as welcome events, multi-day weddings, and make-up changes, are available. Since all services are provided on location, travel is required for each booking. A travel fee applies only if the location is beyond a certain distance, determined by travel time and distance.
If a second make-up look is requested on the same day, there are two options for service:
Scheduled Return: The make-up artist completes the initial make-up and leaves the venue, returning later at an agreed time for the second look. This option is available only if the artist can return home (no travel fee applied). The fee per service is €100-150 for a second look or touch-up on the bride, and €50-60 per guest.
On-Site Availability: If the location is too far for the artist to return home (travel fee applies), the artist remains on-site throughout the day, available for touch-ups or make-up changes as needed. The hourly rate is €50 per hour for all make-up artists.
Guests and Family Members
To ensure the best experience, it's recommended that make-up services for the bride and guests occur at the same location. This saves 15 minutes of setup and 15 minutes of packing up. Make-up for guests costs €75 for all make-up artists if done at the same location as the bride. This rate applies only if the bride is also using Fresh Faced's services; otherwise, see “Independent Guests and Family Members.” Payment is made in cash on the day and takes about 45-60 minutes per person, with a maximum of 4 guests per artist. A minimum number of guests may apply based on location.
Independent Guests and Family Members
This applies when:
The bride is not using Fresh Faced's services, and only guests are being served.
Guests are in a different location than the bride.
In these cases, the rate is €80-100 per guest, with payment due at the end of the service. A travel fee may apply based on your location.
Additional Make-Up Artists
If you need faster service, a team of make-up artists can be arranged if:
Booked at least 3 weeks in advance.
The team operates within a 500m radius of the bridal location. If further away, "Independent Guests and Family Members" conditions apply.
The second artist is booked only if the primary artist is handling at least 2 guests in addition to the bride.
Each additional artist requires a €75 non-refundable deposit and can accommodate at least 3 guests. Pricing remains €75 per guest.
Travel Fee
A travel fee may apply based on your wedding location. For each additional artist traveling, 35% of the travel fee is added. If Fresh Faced is providing both hair and make-up services, they can travel together for an additional 35% if their schedules align. The fee considers distance, driving time, parking, additional transportation, or a hotel stay for early services. Payment is due on the wedding day.
Exclusivity Fee
A time slot for make-up services should be set at least 30 days before the wedding. If you want the artist to be exclusively available for your event, an extra €100 exclusivity fee applies. This allows flexibility in changing the schedule, adding guests, or ensuring availability for touch-ups. This fee does not include the cost of those services and must be paid 30 days before the wedding.
Standby for Touch-Ups
A make-up artist can stay for touch-ups if pre-booked, subject to availability. The fee is €50 per hour, starting when all make-up is complete and ending when the artist's services are no longer needed. The client must notify the artist when to conclude the service.
Refunds and COVID-19 Policy
Changes in wedding dates due to the COVID-19 pandemic are possible. Booked dates are final unless a travel ban or event ban is in place. If either occurs more than one month before the wedding, you can request a date change within that month, allowing one free change.
Examples:
If a travel ban occurs two months before the wedding, you have 1 month to request a date change.
If a travel ban occurs two months before, but the request is made 3 days before the original date, no change can be made, and a voucher is issued.
If a travel ban occurs 3 days before the wedding, an immediate request allows for a date change or a refund. If the artist is unavailable on the new date, the deposit may be refunded. Only one change is allowed; further changes are not permitted, and a voucher is issued instead.
Terminology Guide
Event Ban: A restriction under Portuguese law prohibiting events of 20 or fewer people.
Travel Ban: A restriction preventing travel to Portugal or from the bride's country. Quarantine requirements do not count as a travel ban.
Voucher: A voucher for a non-bridal make-up service in the Greater Lisbon area, subject to availability, equivalent to the deposit amount.
